Hi Colin, Fabulous idea. We always seek out UNESCO parks when we travel as they are world class. This would be a huge asset to Auckland and more importantly the identify and essence of Waiheke can be maintained locally.

I have lived at 52 Shelly Beach Road Waiheke for the last 33 years.This magnificent Island and its surrounds deserve the utmost protection in every way as it has already seen enormous change. Being so close to the major city in NZ it will be swallowed up if it is not protected quickly.
